Who we are

Christopher Hager

Christopher Hager – Team Lead

Christopher Hager specializes in retained search positions within the renewable energy internationally. Before joining Avancos Christopher worked as a project officer with the purpose of initiating and manage pan-European project in the renewable energy and nature management sector.

Christopher has a MSc in Political Science from Lund University and a BSc in Economic Geography from University of Amsterdam. He speaks Swedish, English, Dutch and German. 

Ronald Spuesens

Ronald Spuesens – Sr. Consultant

Ronald Spuesens specializes in fulfillment on senior management positions for global clients. With 16 years of experience in recruiting senior executives with commercial and general management roles, he leads customized searches with a global, European and Dutch scope.

Prior to joining Avancos, Ronald worked with several British executive search firms as a delivery consultant, specializing in senior management positions in the technology and consulting sector. Ronald holds a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences. He is fluent in English, Dutch, French, studying Russian.

Ian Wood

Ian Wood – Sr. Consultant

Ian Wood has 9 years experience in international recruitment specializing in fulfillment of mid to senior sales, marketing, product and project manager functions within the consumer electronics, wind energy and IT sectors. Prior to joining Avancos Ian worked in a pre sales and sales support function in the US, the Netherlands and the UK with a software company that developed global international trade software solutions.

Ian holds a Degree in International Trade and Business plus a Degree in Hotel Management.

Petra van der Sluijs

Petra van der Sluijs – Jr. Consultant

Petra van der Sluijs specializes in the renewable energy sector. Before starting with Avancos, Petra worked with the Central (National) Organization for Work and Income, where she advised companies, local authorities and other organizations on reintegration to the labour market, outplacement strategies and internal development plans. Petra has also worked as an advisor for EURES on pan-European labour market principles. Petra has studied philosophy, psychology and sociology and holds a bachelor degree. She studied for four years at the Institute of Interpretation and Translation (French-Dutch) and is fluent in French, English and Dutch.

Pia Greenaway

Pia Greenaway – Associate

Pia Greenaway specializes in the IT and offshore sector. Pia has worked as an IT consultant at MRI Global Search in the United Kingdom and has 10 years Heath Service experience as a Hospital Manager. Pia has 5+ experience fulfilling retained search positions internationally and is fluent in English and Italian.
